Active Power, a critical backup power and infrastructure systems manufacturer, has launched its new G-Series line of its flywheel-based CleanSource UPS (uninterruptible power supply) system.

The G-Series, which is offered in both 480V (300kVA and 600kVA) and 400V (250kVA and 500kVA) power configurations with N+1 capability, is the latest iteration of Active Power’s current generation of UPS technology designed for mission critical operations in power applications.

The power dense G-Series CleanSource UPS system is designed to provide high energy efficiency even at 40% load with a small carbon footprint, thereby reducing the total cost of ownership of the G-Series UPS for operators.

In addition, the G-Series UPS system features a full color touch screen display and the internal maintenance bypass to make it easy for the operators to manage the UPS system.

Active Power chief technical officer and vice president of engineering Uwe Hausmann said that designed based on customer feedback, the G-Series is an enhancement to its current generation of UPS technology and is a cost and feature optimized solution for the 300 to 600kVA power range.
