The Orlando Reservoir has an absolute decree to store 3,117 acre feet of water per year and the associated senior surface flow water rights have absolute decrees permitting the diversion of nine cubic feet per second, or approximately 2,500 acre feet per year, from the Huerfano River for irrigation purposes.
Two Rivers chairman and CEO John McKowen said that the company expects to acquire additional strategic water assets in 2011 to further expand its water portfolio in Huerfano County.
