The company’s high capacity ultra-thin lithium polymer batteries will be used in a new line of self-heating outerwear targeted to the outdoor enthusiast, the company said.
Highpower chairman and chief executive officer George Pan said the company will utilize its advanced lithium polymer battery technology in an internationally well-regarded branded sportswear company’s innovative products.
"At Highpower International, we pride ourselves on being an innovative company, and we believe this partnership is a testament to that commitment. While it may be unusual to see a battery company partner with a sportswear company, it is further evidence that there are an increasing number of end market applications for our cleaner battery solutions," Pan said.
Highpower is a provider of rechargeable batteries and battery solutions.
