Zhaoheng will use the funds to acquire hydropower plants and boost its operating capacity to over 1GW over the next two years, reported Bloomberg. Its current capacity is 650MW.
The three partners invested $150m in December 2010 in Zhaoheng, Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Fund’s first Chinese investment.
