The 332MW project is located in the German North Sea, about 40km off the coast of the island of Juist.
REpower Systems CEO Andreas Nauen remarked that the contract was an important indicator for the German wind industry.
Suzlon Group chairman Tulasi Tanti said, "With a global emphasis on clean, sustainable and cost effective sources of energy, offshore wind has a major role to play, and we as a Group are extremely well positioned to drive growth in this sector."
According to the company, the REpower 6M turbines are produced in Bremerhaven and are one of the most powerful wind turbines installed offshore.
The turbines have been installed at the Thornton Bank wind project in Belgium in early 2012.
