Orion, which has deployed its energy management systems in 5,612 facilities across North America, through this contract will provide its demand response service in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
The company has expanded its suite of products and services to include demand response that is claimed to deliver permanent distributed load reductions through its compact modular fluorescent and LED high-bay series lighting platforms, InteLite dynamic sensor and control systems, direct renewable Apollo solar light pipes and Solyndra PV panels.
According to the company, the demand response service has been designed to save customers money, reduce load on the grid and decrease greenhouse gas emissions.
