Under the contract, Anesco will manage the installation of solar thermal systems at Westcountry, and install air source heat pumps and solar thermal systems at Tarka.

The contract was awarded after the housing group received funding through the UK Government’s Renewable Heat Premium Payment scheme. The scheme, managed by the Department of Energy and Climate Change, encourages the usage of domestic renewable heat installations.

Anesco Energy Efficiency head Matthew Tunstall said that the installations will help to reduce the carbon emissions and also enable consumers cut on energy bills.

Westcountry Asset Management head Tony Sharland said, "Helping to manage and wherever possible reduce energy costs is one of the vital services that we provide to our customers, so our main priority was to ensure that the contractor we selected would provide a high standard of service and achieve value for money"
