Under this light retrofit project, LumaSmart will install its 65W LED wallpack, by replacing 400W High Intensity Discharge (HID) lights that are expected to generate an estimated 85% savings in energy for NBIT.
These LED lights will be installed to overcome the disadvantages of the using HID lights, which often do not reach the target area such as over the facility’s dock doors and on the driveway.
The application of LumaSmart’s exterior LED lighting products, which are claimed to use 50 to 90% less energy than conventional lights, and last up to 5 times longer, will enable NBIT get return on its investment in just 18 months (exclusive of any utility incentives).
NBIT has partially financed this lighting retrofit project through a funding provided by DTE Energy’s Your Energy Savings Program.
LumaSmart director of sales and marketing Justin Palm said that the company is pleased to provide NBIT with a cost-effective and environmentally-safe lighting solution.
