The company will initially launch a series of four battery chargers that can be used with different portable electronic products including smartphones, laptop computers, digital cameras and DVD players.
The new battery backup systems for electronic devices are claimed to generate four to seven times more power than the original OEM battery’s capacity, while recharging OEM battery more quickly, storing charge for longer periods, and taking less time to recharge themselves than competing devices.
These attributes of the MeePower battery backup systems make them suitable for use by business travelers, students and others, who need prolonged access to their mobile devices while away from stationary power sources in the home or office.
New Energy systems CEO Nian Chen said that the company plans to initially sell its backup power systems and accessories through major distributors in the US and is working towards finalizing these relationships later this year.
“Our entry into the US market is a key factor within our overall strategy to expand internationally. We look forward to communicating our progress on this front in the coming months,” Chen said.
