The second warehouse facility enables Canadian Solar to offer additional photovoltaic (PV) module storage capacity needed to support the company’s business.
The first shipment of solar PV modules are expected to be arrived in mid-September this year.
Canadian Solar chairman and CEO Shawn Qu said the new warehouse facility on the East Coast will immediately benefit customers by increasing product availability, shortening product transit times and cutting shipping costs to deliver more competitive pricing.
The energy generated from PV rooftop munted system will be utilized by the warehouse, which is located within two miles of the port, reducing drayage costs from port to warehouse.
Canadian Solar designs, manufactures and delivers solar products and solar system solutions for on-grid and off-grid use to customers globally.
