This partnership will offer homeowners with energy audits by RESNET-certified inspectors paired with qualified insulation contractors from ICAA to act on the recommendations made by the inspectors to improve the energy efficiency of the homes.

The partnership with ICAA is part of RESNET’s effort to align with a wide array of qualified contractors nationwide to build full-service, consumer-friendly energy service to homeowners seeking to improve the energy efficiency of their homes.

Homes account for more than 20% of the global warming pollution in the US and implementing proper energy action, such as better use of insulation and employing other energy-efficiency technologies has the potential to cut the average home’s energy use by 30%.

ICAA executive director Michael Kwart said that ICAA is pleased to be working with RESNET to improve the energy performance of homes.

“This is a win-win for consumers and the industry, as homeowners will receive reliable diagnoses with insulation solutions that reduce utility bills and help drive a low-carbon economy,” Kwart said.
