The agreement between enXco, the US subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles (EDF-EN), and Wisconsin Public Service Corporation (WPSC), a regional public utility supplying electricity and gas, covers the development and construction of the wind farm consisting of 66 GE turbines, each with a 1.5MW capacity.

Initiated in 2002, the development of the Crane Creek project is due to be finalized during 2008, with the award of all the requisite permits from the Iowa state authorities. Construction of the facility is scheduled for 2009.
