The contract is for the manufacture and delivery of 48km of steel tube umbilicals. The dynamic section of the umbilicals will be made using Aker Solutions’s proprietary carbon fiber rod technology, which is developed specifically for deepwater and ultra-deepwater conditions.
The umbilicals will be manufactured and delivered out of Aker Solutions’s facility in Moss, Norway. Delivery of the umbilicals is scheduled for the third and fourth quarters of 2010.
