Such high efficiency is due to the plant’s active work to modernize the reactor and turbine equipment. This work is aimed at enhancing the efficiency and safety of the equipment, to enlarge the inter-repair and to reduce the repair periods.
The capacity factor was 91.59% against planned 82.22%. The radiation background at Volgodonsk NPP and in its 30-kilometer monitoring zone is within norm.
