The company will be responsible for the design and supply of the four 150MWe steam generators, which will be designed to burn a blend of pet coke and coal while meeting environmental regulatory requirements.

Foster Wheeler will also provide site advisory and commissioning services for the power project.

Foster Wheeler Global Power Group CEO Gary Nedelka said this project represents the re-entry of the company into the Indian power market.

"Due to the large growth potential of the market and the importance of units having the ability to burn a wide range of solid fuels, this is an exceptional market for our world class CFB steam generators," Nedelka said.

Foster Wheeler is a global engineering and construction contractor and power equipment supplier.
