The 6,920sqm facility features a manufacturing system that rolls and welds large diameter tubulars used in the construction of offshore wind turbine jacket and monopile foundations.

The fully-operated facility also includes a new 1,700sqm environmentally-friendly blast and paint unit.

TAG Energy Solutions’ riverside facility also manufactures jackets, transition pieces and topside structures, which can be transported around the world from its extensive wet dock and 6,000te load out quay, the company said.

TAG Energy Solutions Business Development director John MacAskill said the company intends the facility and manufacturing operation will become a significant part of the supply chain infrastructure for the European Offshore market.
