Located on the 1,343 acre Dansville Prospect in Southern Lower Michigan, the well is AED’s second site with Brown 2-12 being the first one.
AED continues its strategic plan to target a pinnacle structure within the Niagaran reef formation, with the start of its drilling program.
The company expects the drilling program will continue for the next nine to ten days, with projections of hitting pay on or about 3 or 4 May, before reaching a total depth of about 4,500ft.
AED president Herold Ribsskog said the next few days will be critical in continuing to execute the strategy of exploring the well sites in a timely and cost effective manner.
"We intend to provide timely updates of our progress during the course of the operations," added Ribsskog.
