With this collaboration, the two companies bring together their respective expertise in developing and applying technologies that extend the life of power cables and in material science and silicone manufacturing.
As part of the agreement, UtilX is likely to use the Powered by Dow Corning brand on packaging, commercial and technical information for all UtilX rejuvenation fluids, while Dow Corning will continue to provide UtilX with exclusive use of its cable rejuvenation fluids and act as sole manufacturer of all rejuvenation fluids developed by UtilX.
Dow Corning Specialty Chemicals vice president Patrick McLeod said that the manufacturing and co-branding agreement will enable them to help power firms deal with a significant challenge – the long term damage caused to by water and environmental exposure.
