The new tool will help customers detect if Eaton molded case circuit breakers (MCCBs), up to 400 amperes, are counterfeit.
The CBA tool verifies authentication of a circuit breaker, provided bar code, part number and date code found on the product are supplied.
Eaton Electrical Sector brand protection manager Tom Grace said, "Eaton’s online CBA tool enhances the purchaser’s ability to identify unsafe counterfeit or tampered products to reduce the chance of such products being used in their facilities."
The company has made this new tool available at is website, www.eaton.com/counterfeit, which is accessible via any web or mobile browser.
