The amount of the EPIC contract was not disclosed.
Lying at water depth of around 130m, the gas field in the east coast marine area will be tied back to BG operated Dolphin ‘A’ platform.
Under the contract, Technip will procure, design, and provide project management services for a 10km long and 14in concrete coated production flowline; a 11km control umbilical; a riser and spoolpiece tie-ins; and four flexible jumpers.
In addition, the company will install a subsea manifold and an optional topsides high integrity pipeline protection system as per the terms of the deal.
The firm will use G1200 as its primary vessel to install all the pipes, umbilical lay and heavy lift operations in mid-2014.
Technip North America Region senior vice president David Dickson said, "The S-Lay and heavy lift capability of the G1200 has allowed us to increase our accessible market."
Diving and construction work will be completed by the one of the company’s diving support vessels.
The company’s operating center in Houston, Texas will perform the overall project management while its wholly-owned subsidiary Genesis will complete the detailed designing work.
The Umbilical will be manufactured by Technip’s Duco facility in Texas whereas the flexible jumpers will be manufactured by its Flexi France plant.
