The first batch of pre-ordered samples of the equipment is expected to be delivered by ECHO within the coming days for Horizon’s field testing.
The equipment uses Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) technology to enhance production which enhances total output, pump efficiency, reduces operational expenses, extends equipment life, reduces risk to people and equipment, decreases energy consumption and waste as well as streamlines data collection.
Horizon Energy chairman and CEO Robert Bludorn said that the preview of ECHO’s products is part of Horizon’s efforts to offer these types of solutions that maximize oilfield output.
"Intelligent pumping systems are an investment to maintain and improve oilfield production. Some operators of small to medium-sized oilfields may be reluctant to make large capital investments in new oil wells," Bludorn added.
"In such an environment, the goal is keeping existing wells consistently pumping and doing so at an optimum level."
A RTU is the basic unit of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
