The Willbros portion of the total project is valued in excess of $40m.
CB&I has been awarded the EPC contract for the new processing plant at the Elk Hills oil and gas field in central California.
Willbros Upstream Oil & Gas president Jerrit Coward said that the company looks forward to executing its portion of this major project for Occidental of Elk Hills.
"Our ability to provide integrated EPC solutions adds value for our customers and we view this opportunity as an indication that market conditions continue to improve, resulting in growing demand for our services," Coward said.
