The program was announced under the company’s exploration plans for 2014 at its diamond projects including Timiskaming, Luxx and Mel Diamond.
Evaluating the potential of coarse diamond, the diamond explorer is expected use around 3,300 kg of archived drill core from the 95-1, 96-1, Baby and SC-118 kimberlites to complete a test of the mineral chemistry of each kimberlite.
At the Luxx project located in Nunavut, the company has identified high priority targets through a magnetic survey conducted under 2013 exploration program.
The till samples from the exploration have confirmed two highly anomalous samples located immediately down ice from the highest priority magnetic anomaly.
In 2014, North Arrow has planned to conduct additional till sampling and detailed prospecting of the highest priority target areas, alongside securing the required permits for a spring 2015 drilling program.
Meanwhile, at the Mel project on the Melville Peninsula, Nunavut, the diamond producer has scheduled prospecting of targets that were noted during the 2013 magnetic surveys and additional till sampling under its 2014 exploration plans.
