The new 18,375 hectares of exploration ground is contiguous with the two licenses of 850 hectares that are subject of a proposed joint venture between Atrum and Kuro.
It is expected that the new tenure will be considered as part of the proposed joint venture.
Atrum Coal executive director said, "Kuro has secured a dominant exploration footprint at Panorama.
"We are hopeful that a maiden exploration program this year will deliver new value opportunities for both Kuro and Atrum."
The Panorama anthracite project is located approximately 20km west of Atrum’s Groundhog anthracite project in British Columbia, Canada. It consists of two granted coal licenses totaling 850 hectares, subject of the proposed joint venture.
