Silfab announced its plans for this new manufacturing plant last June and has secured a production facility in Mississauga, with plans to start the first phase of production in early 2011.

SCC Solar will collaborate closely with Green to Green Engineering (G2G), a division of Silfab, who developed the production process and equipment specifications for the Mississauga plant.

G2G will handle the module production line design and processes, while SCC Solar will supply the program control and engineering for the construction of the building, utilities and all other general services for the project.

The facility’s production will mainly focus on Silfab’s silicon modules, but it will include production for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) companies, as well.
