The contract comprises supply and commissioning of the turbines, a VestasOnline Business SCADA system as well as a 7-year service and maintenance agreement.
Delivery is scheduled to start during the fourth quarter of 2010, and the project will be completed during the second quarter of 2011.
The order has been placed by Tuppadahalli Energy India, which is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) created by Acciona Energy India for the Tuppadahalli Wind Farm project.
Acciona is an existing customer of Vestas India. Prior to this order, Acciona has commissioned a total of 18 V82-1.65MW turbines equaling 29.6 MW in the Indian state of Karnataka.
This 56MW wind farm in Karnataka, is Acciona’s third project with Vestas in the state.
