The Solaron PV inverters were selected by Solar Power for the expansion. After commissioning of the original 3.6MW site in November last year, Solar Power revealed a 2.4MW expansion, bringing the total capacity of the site to 6MW.
The expansion is expected to be completed in April 2010. Electricity generated from the new site will provide approximately 10% of electricity demand for the Aerojet facility, as well as provide solar energy to the greater Sacramento district.

The project was developed in partnership with Solar Power as well as with Aerojet, the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) and HEK.
