ABB will build four new transmission substations and upgrade four existing substations to help strengthen the power network and enhance grid reliability.
The company will design, supply, install and commission four new 66/11kV gas-insulated switchgear substations as part of the turnkey contract that also includes key products like shunt reactors, transformers, medium-voltage switchgear and cables.
The substations will be equipped with ABB automation systems and the latest generation of protection and control products, compliant with the IEC 61850 global substation communications standard.
According to ABB, the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2012.
