As per the agreement, ENI will supply 750 million cubic metres of gas annually on average, which will start as of 1 January 2011.
INA said that it managed to negotiate flexibility of quantities and favorable prices, while having the possibility of using two supply routes from the direction of Slovenia and the Croatian – Hungarian inter connector, which is expected to put into operation in the near future.
INA Management Board president Zoltan Aldott said that despite some open questions related to the future of gas business, INA has continuously been taking every necessary measure to ensure stable and un-interrupted gas supply in Croatia during the heating season and in light of that concluded a supply contract.
