SunEdison will own and operate the power plant with APS purchasing the entire output.
The facility is expected to generate more than 25 million kWh of clean energy in its first year of operation and approximately 653 million kWh over 30 years.
APS estimates that the facility can provide enough power to meet the annual energy needs of about 2,500 Arizona customers.
Earlier this month, APS and SunEdison unveiled plans for two other Arizona solar plants – a 20MW facility in Chino Valley and a 17MW facility in Hyder.
These plants will be developed by SunEdison and APS will own the facilities after construction is completed.
