Houston-based oilfield control and automation company GlobaLogix has closed its acquisition of the satellite services division of Blast Energy Services.
The satellite division creates communications solutions for the energy industry that support SCADA networks for pipelines, wellhead automation, drilling rigs and business continuity applications.
GlobaLogix said that the acquisition will allow it to expand its business model, which offers energy companies a suite of services supporting the recovery and analysis of data from the field through to the corporate back office.
The company will take over the satellite division’s existing client base, contracts, inventory, and operation of the Network Operations Center.
