Under the contract, Thiess will design, procure, construct and commission an expansion of the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant on behalf of Lake Vermont Resources.
The plant will be upgraded by the joint venture firm to produce up to four million tonnes of additional coal per annum.
Sedgman CEO and managing director Nick Jukes said the project will be completed as per the schedule.
The plant was originally designed and constructed by Thiess Sedgman in 2009.
