Sunil Wadhwa, NDPL chief executive officer, stated that NDPL has already received one environmental clearance and they were waiting for one more following which the project would progress faster.
Wadhwa said “There is no delay in commissioning but it takes some time to get all the necessary clearances. The equipment has been brought and the tie-up for gas been made. There was a meeting for environmental clearance held very recently and we know about the outcome of that very soon. But we expect that the plant will be operational by December this year or January, 2010 latest.”
