Vattenfall and Hanobukten Offshore, of which Wallenstam is the majority owner, together will form a new company, Taggen Vindpark. Taggen Vindpark will continue work on the planning process for Taggen wind farm in Hanobukten and proceed with its application to the Environmental Court for a permit.

The companies claim that the site planned for Taggen wind farm has good wind conditions, sufficient depth and excellent opportunities for connecting to the network, making Taggen a first-rate wind power project.

Hans Wallenstam, CEO of Lennart Wallenstam Byggnads, said: We are pleased to have come to a joint solution for continuing to investigate the possibility of building Taggen wind farm. It’s a further step in our strategy to become self-sufficient in renewable electricity and be able to offer our customers’ energy produced by us at the most reasonable price conceivable.
