The Moimenta I and II wind farms each will feature 21 Senvion MM92 turbines, which have a rated power of 2.05MW, a hub height of 100m and a rotor diameter of 92.5m.

About 11 Senvion MM92 turbines, each with 2.05MW capacity, will be deployed in the Picos Vale do Chão wind farm.

Additionally, Três Marcos wind farm and Sernancelhe wind farm will be installed with 19 Senvion MM92 turbines and 12 Senvion MM100 turbines, respectively.

Senvion South West Europe managing director Olivier Perot said: "The Âncora project is a result of this whole tender programme. It will also cover the local sourcing of towers, electrical components, civil works and electrical works."

The Moimenta I and II as well as the Picos Vale do Chão wind farms construction is planned to commence in early 2015.

Construction work of the Sernancelhe and Três Marcos wind farms is scheduled to start in spring and summer of 2015 respectively.
Suzlon, which will begin turbines installation in summer 2015, also signed 20-year full service contracts for the wind farms maintenance.

Senvion Portugal managing director José Costa said: "We are currently employing more than 600 people and plan to double this figure by 2015.

"We already produce rotor blades and nacelle for the Senvion MM92 bestseller series as well as the rotor blades of the Senvion 3.XM series."
