Shell said that the companies will provide complementary services and strengths to the joint venture.
Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals (MRPL) brings its expertise and high quality products while Shell Aviation brings its global brand, network and customer base in addition to stringent quality control procedures.
The agreement is expected to become effective in early-2008. The agreement foresees supplying aviation fuels to other Indian airports at a later date.
