The unconventional, shale well ADA.x-1 is situated about 9km west of the new oil discovery LTE.x-1, on the Los Toldos II block covering 38,400 gross acres.
Americas drilled the third well with primary target of Vaca Muerta related to the Los Toldos farm out agreement with ExxonMobil.
The company spud the well through the primary target Vaca Muerta shale formation, with oil and gas shows and also intersected hydrocarbon shows in the secondary targests such as the Agrio, Quintuco and Tordillo.
Casing has been successfully set and cemented to a total depth of about 3,442m to prepare for a planned well test.
The Company will begin detailed analysis of the cores and cuttings soon.
