NTPC Likely To Set Up 600 MW Hydel Project In Bhutan

We will try and work out with the Bhutan Government to execute the project through the joint venture route, NTPC senior officials said.

Further NTPC is also preparing the pre-feasibility report for the 5,000 MW Siang hydro power project in Arunachal Pradesh.

The Arunachal Pradesh government has agreed to give the project to us (NTPC) for execution, NTPC said.

The pre-feasibility report would conclude in six months from now.

NTPC is currently executing three hydro electric power projects— 800 MW Koldam in Himachal Pradesh, 600 MW Loharinag Pala (Uttarakhand) and 520 MW Tapovan Vishnugad (Uttarakhand).
