Over 252,000 multi-crystalline modules with 240Wp of average output each were deployed at the facility in Brandenburg.

These modules were installed on the former Preschen airfield in Jocksdorf, which has now been converted into a large solar farm.

The fully commissioned solar farm was developed by German company Unternehmensberatung & Beteiligungsgesellschaft and will provide enough clean energy to power nearly 17,000 homes per annum.

Unternehmensberatung & Beteiligungsgesellschaft CEO Alfred Behrens said that Trina was the main module supplier for the project.

"Because construction advanced well ahead of schedule, we ordered an additional 5.5MW of modules, which Trina Solar was able to provide and deliver to the site in just three days," added Behrens.

Trina Solar Europe head Ben Hill added, "Their decision to work with Trina Solar clearly endorses our corporate strategy and priorities: high quality and adherence to schedules, and being flexible when parameters change – these are the ingredients you need to make large-scale projects like this successful."
