With this project, the joint venture controlled by Enel and Union Fenosa has a total installed capacity of 1,160MW entirely powered by renewable energy resources.
Union Fenosa said that with the completion of another 145MW scheduled for 2008, Enel Union Fenosa Renovables (Eufer) is on track to reach its goal of 1,800MW by 2012.
The development of renewables is part of Enel’s environment and innovation plan, which envisages investments of more than E4 billion by 2011.
The new wind farm, which is made up of generators with a capacity of 2.3MW each, is connected to the transmission grid by a 66kV line stretching 23.5km.
