Dr Jobs, who will also take over as COO of RWE, has been elected as the new supervisory board chairman of RWE Energy and RWE Power.

Dr Lambertz, whose appointment is with immediate effect, has until now been in charge of the fossil-fuel power plant portfolio.

The supervisory board of RWE Energy has appointed Heinz-Werner Ufer, until now CFO, as the CEO of the firm with immediate effect. He will succeed Berthold Bonekamp, who will take up the post of chief strategy officer of RWE.

Mr Ufer has reportedly asked that his appointment as CEO not extend beyond
December 31, 2009, when he intends to leave the RWE Group.
