The company has installed the tubing inflatable packer TTIP, while cleaning is underway for the large amount of water and nitrogen used during the installation process.
A small choke size for the initial test at 4mm was used to maintain downhole pressure during the clean out process, while the well flowed at a calculated rate of 0.9mmscfgpd.
Bottom hole pressure was measured at 228.5 atmospheres during the test and following a 24 hour shut in period, the pressure was increased to 348.3 atmospheres.
Hawkley will now begin production tests on various choke sizes to carefully understand the reservoir and the production capability of the well before commencing commercial production.
The company also said that it’s Sorochynska gas plant is making steady progress with the flow line installation.
Completion of the work and the commencement of production testing of the plant is expected in mid-February.
Hawkley Oil & Gas CEO said, "The initial indications from the 202 well are positive and we are encouraged by the flow rates achieved with these initial tests."
