In a meeting held in Moscow on 25 January 2013, Rosneft Igor Sechin and Surgutneftegas’ Vladimir Bogdanov have discussed issues related to petroleum products export and reviewed cooperation deal.
The two firms looked at the opportunity for joint supplies so as to cut down costs and optimize transportation expenses.
In addition, the parties pondered over the opportunity for joint infrastructure use as part of implementation of industrial and environmental safety programs.
Sechin and Bogdanov also inked a deal on the sale and purchase of Surgutneftegas stake in the National Oil Consortium executing Junin-6 project in Venezuela.
The deal was approved by the Russian government, and the transaction is now complete.
