At E5.17 billion, current operating income is up both in terms of total and organic growth of 15.1% and 10.5% respectively.

This is due to improved profitability from electricity activities in Europe, the performance of North American liquefied natural gas activities, and expanding electricity sales in Latin America. The energy services and environment businesses recorded results with continuous improvement in operating profit.

Income from operating activities was stable at E5.4 billion, despite lower gains from disposals. In 2006, disposals generated capital gains of E1.1 billion, versus E0.3 billion for 2007.

The net income group share came to E3.9 billion, compared with E3.6 billion in 2006, an 8.8% increase, as a result mainly of recognition of deferred losses resulting from the sale of Suez-Tractebel to Electrabel.

Net cash flow increased by 16.5% to E4 billion. In 2007, the group made industrial and financial investments of E6.1 billion, a 60% increase over 2006 totals.
