It is the first utility-scale solar power plants to be developed under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission .
The plant will be equipped with T-Solar’s latest generation 5.7m(2) a-Si:H thin film modules.
The solar project will be capable of generating 8.500MW of energy, which is sufficient to power 13,000 homes in India.
State Bank of India and the Export-Import Bank of India have arranged debt financing for the plant, which will enable commissioning of the plant on time.
Construction of the project has already begun and is expected to be completed by this October.
Schneider Electric has been contracted as the project EPC manager.
