The company will supply a 207MW Francis reversible pump turbine, a 244 MVA motor-generator, butterfly valve and other hydromechanical equipment, and mechanical and electrical balance of plant.
The Salamonde hydropower project has two existing units each with a capacity of 21MW and the 207MW third unit is expected to be commissioned in 2015.
Alstom also supplied part of the hydromechanical equipment for the existing units and carried out a retrofit of the generators during the 1980s.
