The order includes the supply, installation and commissioning of 13 units of the V100-1.8MW turbine, a VestasOnline Business SCADA system, as well as a five-year service and availability agreement.
Delivery of the wind turbines is expected to commence before the end of this year.
The wind farm, which is expected to be completed by the first half of 2012, will generate about 52GWh of electricity per year.
Gestamp Wind North America CEO Javier Mateache said the V100-1.8MW turbine suits perfectly well the wind conditions in Puerto Rico and therefore the turbines will deliver as agreed, helping Gestamp maximizing the energy output and capitalizing on its return on the investment.
