Dismissing the reports, Langer Heinrich Uranium general manager Werner Duvenhage remarked that the company is currently reviewing the project portfolio and it is yet to take a concrete decision.
The speculations arose when Paladin managing director John Borshoff claimed that the company is likely to proceed with stake sale in any of its African uranium mine in next few weeks to fetch nearly $200m, reported Allafrica.com citing Nampa.org.
It was further reported that Langer Heinrich mine would be considered for the divestment.
"It is just speculation that Langer Heinrich is the candidate for the stake sale," Duvenhage suggested.
Meanwhile, Langer Heinrich mine’s uranium concentration cost of production remained flat during the March 2013 quarter, against December 2012 quarter and it declining 8% since June 2012.
