The well is located on the Cajazeira prospect located at Block SOL-T-172, in the Solimões Basin, in Amazonas.

Upon the completion of drilling, the company has announced the well dry and abandoned it stating the hole is dry with hydrocarbon shows.

HRT O&G drilled the well with a primary objective to target the sandstones of the Lower Member of the Juruá Formation, Carboniferous in age, and the Devonian sandstones as secondary objective.

The well reached its total depth, after penetrating the metamorphic basement at 2,402m.

HRT cored the Jurua and Devonian sections during the drilling program and wire logged and identified two intervals of interest.

The company first identified intervals from 2,170m to 2,189m in the Upper Member of the Juruá Formation, and the second one from 2,251m to 2,402m of the Lower Member of the Juruá Formation.

In both the intervals, oil shows were observed in the cuttings and cores and when the well was tested using wireline tool it confirmed the oil shows were due to the presence of residual oil in the reservoir.
