Scope of the work includes deploying Experion PKS and supplying up to 60 additional workstations to the refinery, which will be installed in the unified refinery control center.
Honeywell Russia general manager Leonid Sorkin said the demand for the Antipinsky refinery products, both in the region and throughout Russia and the EU is significant.
The new project, which is the third phase in construction of the Antipinsky refinery, will double its processing capacity to 7.5 million tons and produce products, which meet the EU quality of the Euro-5 emission standards.
It also includes a water treatment plant, sewage treatment plant, steam generation plant and other general refinery facilities.
This phase is expected to be complete by the end of 2013.
Antipinsky Refinery general manager Gennady Lisovichenko said, "By selecting Honeywell, we were able to get everything we needed through a single, reliable supplier."
"The implementation of Experion PKS will empower our workforce and greatly enhance the safety and efficiency of the refinery’s processes," Lisovichenko added.
Honeywell Process Solutions Russia sales leader Alexander Rodionov said the Experion PKS gives continuous and comprehensive flow of information about refinery operations, which will allow operators to identify problems and make better decisions about plant operations.
